There are many areas where rescue needs help other than fostering. Some don't require that you have any previous Samoyed experience. Please take a look at our volunteer application if you would like to help us help Samoyeds in need.

  STORY

Sedona is a sweet 4 1/2 year old girl who needed a special home with other dogs and experienced owner. She had some separation anxiety which was alleviated when crated near other dogs.

To her rescue came a family who have three other dogs, two of which are Sammies that were also adopted from rescue.

Sedona is doing very well in her new forever home!

Teddy is a 4 year old boy who was surrendered to rescue by his owners. He is a quiet happy boy who usually just wants to lay next to you on the couch with his head in your lap. His coat looked kind of funny when he first arrived because his previous owners had him shaved and the hair was growing back at different speeds.

Now though he is a handsome Sammy boy with a nice Sammy coat.

Teddy is now living high life with his new forever family.

Blizzard is a 7 year old girl whose owner had passed away. She had gotten very heavy, eventually topping out at 85 pounds. It was even difficult for her to stand up by herself. Blizzard went to stay with a foster home for several months where she lost weight and got exercise playing with other dogs.

Now Blizzard is at her forever home where she lives with two other rescued sammy's who will make sure that she continues to get plenty of exercise.

Alaska is a 4 year old boy who was surrendered to an animal shelter who in turn called us. He has a wonderful personality and got along well with other animals.

After living as the only dog for a few monthes with his foster family he is now in his forever home that he shares with two other Sammy boys that he loves to play with.

When this girl came into rescue she was 6 monthes old and she was just called Puppy. She had not had much of any socialization so we called her Gypsy because of her wild personality.

After spending 3 monthes in foster care Gypsy was doing really well and acting like the Samoyed Princess she is supposed to be.

She was adopted by a family with 5 other dogs including a yellow lab that is the same age. Gracie as she is now called and her puppy freind are best buds and play together day and night.

After 7 years with her family Kacey's old owner became very sick and had to place her with us. She was very spoiled and came to us weighing 106 lbs. She had to learn about that four letter word, "diet". After 6 months at our Sammy spa she weighed in at around 70 pounds and was becoming a very happy and active girl.

We found that she loves people but didn't like to share them with other dogs.

Just after her 8th birthday she was adopted by a single gentleman looking for the companionship of a great dog and Kacey was the perfect match. She now has a home that she only has to share with her human and she is very happy. She is getting plenty of exercise and attention that she needs and deserves.

Tucker was born on 3/29/07 and started his life as a pet store puppy. He was purchased by a young girl who thought he was cute but soon got tired of him and kept him crated all the time. At three months old the girls mother felt sorry for him and placed him with us.

Tucker went to live with a woman who had recently lost her previous dog and wasn't really sure she could love another. Pretty soon though Tucker had won her heart and found himself a forever home.
